Torty & Torstoi
" ibuuuuuu...ira nak tortoise...alaaaa ibuuuuuuu...ira nak tortoise mcm Soraya* tuuuu...mak die bagi die ada tortoise.....pleaseeeeee ibuuuuuuuu..ira nak cam Soraya tuuu" - Nuwairah nagged me to get her a tortoise and she repeatedly mentioning it i rasa tak kurang dari 30x a day and for about a week, i would have heard it for = 30 x 7= approximately 210x!!
[* Soraya is Ira's backyard fren and a neighbour...]
So one evening me, Danial and Ira went to a pet shop near tasik shah alam and bought 2 ekor tortoise ...one for Danial and one for Ira. I tak tahu dari mana she got the idea but she name her pets Torty and Torstoi. Cina kat kedai tu kata "adik bagi die makan 2x satu hari aaa..pagi satu kali petang satu kali aaaa "
From that day onwards...sebok lah Ira n Danial ke hulu ke hilir dgn Torty n Torstoi ni... Bangun pagi aje, ira report duty dgn belaannya...make sure air dalam bekas tu ditukar and kept on asking bibik.."bikkkk dah pukul bape ni?? ira nak bagi die makannnnn..."
As for Danial...emmm...mana boleh tahan dok tgk tortoise tu dokk dalam bekas tu je..so Danial would keluarkan the tortoise..put it on his hand and play with it...he would place it between his fingers and menghayun-hayun tortoise tu sesuka ati...and sesekali perbuatan yang tidak disengajakan pon berlaku - tortoise terdibalingkan oleh Danial...haih...kalaulah ada ponstan utk binatang, dah lama tortoise tu kirim kat i soh belikan...with the rate of hayunan Danial tu i rasa, if Malaysia nak try anta animal naik rocket naik ke bulan, Torty n Torstoi would definitely pass the test!

"ibu...akak nak beli guinea pig. Tak kira...akak nak guinea pig gakk..." kata Aisyah. "ah malas ibu, kang taik die sape nak jaga?? ibu tak kuasa nak jaga! Kang taik die berbau kang...geli aje.. tak mo lah akak!" said me." tak de tak de...taik die tak busuk la ibuuuuu..senang je jaga die..alaaaaaa akak nakkkkk" kata Aisyah. This conversation went on and on and on...Aisyah nagged and nagged and nagged..and i told myself o gosh, would she ever stop??I dont know if Aisyah hypnotized me ke ape but suddenly i asked her to browse the internet to search for the nearest pet shop that sells guinea pigs and what came next was that we all went to Carefour Subang Jaya and bought her a guinea pig!
Aisyah named the guinea pig Iddie. Aisyah has found her new found love...Iddie and Iddie has found a foster mom...Aisyah!
Maka bermula lah kisah cinta Aisyah and Iddie...I rasa tak pernah tgk Aisyah membelai belai binatang mcm tu..she stroked it...wrapped it in a towel so that it wont be tooo scared (rupa2nya guinea pig ni penakut...boleh mengeletar2 ketakutan....pulok doh, ape benda lah minatang niii...).
Aisyah is the 'authoritarian' among her siblings ...observing gelagat Aisyah n her pet Iddie, my husband and me agreed on one conclusion - that Aisyah's choice of a guinea pig as her pet compensate her natural character yang vocal and authoritative that Aisyah needs to have a pet that would just listen to her without question! It turns out that Iddie is the only one in the house yang obeys Aisyah!! hahhahahahahahha.....seriously Aisyah, sorry to say this tapi tak interesting langsung guinea pig awak ni...diammmmmm je...tak de reaction langsung...not playful..not doing anything....diammmmmm je...amenda lah pet awak ni Aisyahhhhh...

"mane aci....smua orang ada pet...adik* pon nak gak. Ah, adik nak cat!" Najwa blurted out the idea one day.
[*walaupon sudah ada 2 orang adik, najwa still refer herself as adik to me, her dad and her akak...]
"No!!! No Najwa...NO! Not a cat...i had enough of cats" said me.
"abis tu, smua orang ada ...nape pulak adik tak leh!" said Najwa.
"alaaa adikkkkkk tolong la..kang korang men anak2 kucing sehari dua, pastu ibu kena endure dgn taik kucing for the rest of its life...tak mo la adikkkkkkk" begged me.
Bahaya nya dengan Najwa ni...kalau die tak dapat apa die nakkk..maka bermula sessi Najwa memuncung muka....
Nak dipendekkan cerita, there was a cat exhibition held at the SACC Mall shah alam. So, we all went.
Tengok laaa cat2 yang bulu pendek, bulu panjang, yang tak de bulu, yang muka bulat, yang idung penyek..smue2 lah...
I told Najwa i do not want to bela any long haired cats anymore ( i had 4 persians a few years ago...). Seperti yang dijangkakan, kemuncungan Najwa menjadi jadik esp when she tengok i tak de reaction pon cam nak beli any cat kat situ.
Tapi at the exhibition tu...ade pulok booth 'cats for adoption'. Well, cat2 yang nak diadoptkan tu, tak de lah yang well breed punye...snang kata kucing kampong yang diselamatkan laaa. Yang penting, its free!
Najwa dah mundar mandir kat booth tu jeeeee....sekejap nak adopt cat yang dah besar..skejap nak yang kecik...besa kecik besa kecik..pendek cite, Najwa agreed to adopt one orange coloured kitten!
"you would clean the cat's litter box..EVERYDAY!" me

Begitu la lebih kurang the unwritten agreement between me and Najwa Asyikin binte Ahmad Kushairi....
So, Najwa's kitten was named Alice. So, beli lahhh cage for Alice (second hand cage harga rm15 je)...litter sand...litter box...cat biscuts...but one annoying thing about Alice is..she is sooooo noisy..dah makan pon bising..tak makan pon bising.....nak berak pon bising...ngiau ngiau jeeee..ishhh aku plaster jugak mulut kucing Najwa ni...hhahahah

She captured my attention the moment i saw her. I was with Aisyah doing our weekly marketing. She was playing with her siblings i assumed...i told Aisyah.."eh, comel kan kucing tu..and looks clean". Aisyah agreed. I asked Aisyah to hold her and play with her while i finish with my marketing. Once everything was done, i told Aisyah..."ok..i want this cat. Let's bring her to the nearest vet, get her vaccinated and everything. She could be a fren to Najwa's Alice".
We decided to call her Katie but later Aisyah called her baby. We all adore her...she is so proper..not so noisy..tak ganas sangat..all the opposite of Najwa's Alice! Just look at her in this picture..isn't she adorable??? yes she is because she is MY CAT!
